James Rammell

Mr James Rammell is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at Sunderland Royal Hospital. He was appointed in 2024 after completing his medical education and vascular surgery training in the North East of England.

He has a strong background in medical education backed up by a formal teaching qualification and has designed, organised and delivered several national training sessions and is currently the lead organiser for ASPIRE 6 programme.

Clinically he has a broad scope of open and endovascular practice involving both peripheral and aortic surgery and alongside this he has lead the set up and delivery of the deep venous intervention service in his trust.
