Fellowships and Training

 
 

Applications are invited for the 2020 BSET Fellowship Programme, comprising one Endovascular Training Fellowship and one Endovascular Travel Fellowship.

Endovascular Training Fellowship

One six month post is now available for a vascular and interventional radiology trainee providing an opportunity to acquire new or more complex endovascular skills, to be spent in a vascular unit within the UK.

Training in a full range of endovascular techniques will be encouraged including percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, endovenous procedures, and the treatment of abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms.

The Fellowships will be awarded and administered through the British Society of Endovascular Therapy.

Applications for the Fellowship will be encouraged from trainees in all related disciplines, with an interest in the endovascular treatment of vascular disease.   Applications are welcome from post-CCTs.

Applicants will need to be members of the British Society of Endovascular Therapy.

Posts need to commence by October 2020.

Candidates can apply for a Training Fellowship by sending a 500 word personal statement describing how the Fellowship would supplement their current clinical experience, and also attaching a two page CV.

Endovascular Travel Fellowship

The BSET Travel Fellowship, up to the value of £5,000, is available to Specialist Registrars towards the end of higher surgical training or Consultants up to two years post CCT at the closing date for this application. The Fellowship is intended to enable the successful candidate to fund a visit to a unit with recognised expertise of interest to broaden their education and training in endovascular therapy.

Applications should provide a detailed account of the proposed programme of travel, costs involved and objectives to be achieved during the Fellowship, supported by a full Curriculum Vitae giving details of all past and present appointments and publications.
