Mr Mike Jenkins

Mike Jenkins qualified from the Middlesex/UCH in 1989 as the Broderip Scholar and trained on the London North West Thames surgical rotation before being awarded the Gold medal at FRCS.  Gained an MS in 1996 for research into restenosis after angioplasty, and has been involved in EVAR since 1994. After being appointed to a Consultant post in 2002, is currently the Director of AAA screening in NW London and Director of the MTC at St Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The vascular unit at St Mary’s is a tertiary referral centre for thoraco-abdominal aneurysms and dissections with an active programme of endovascular stenting of arch, thoracic and abdominal lesions. Involvement with a wide range of custom devices and the robotic endovascular programme completes an innovative practice.

Endovascular Fellowships

BSET has facilitated a number of endovascular fellowships over the past 8 years. The posts provide an opportunity for vascular or interventional radiology trainees to acquire new or more complex endovascular skills, to be spent in vascular units within the UK.
