We are very excited to announce that BSET will be running a new innovative two-day course to provide extensive hands-on practical training in the treatment of the complex aorta, aimed at senior vascular trainees and new consultants.
The course will be held on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st March 2017 and will feature four half day sessions in the following:
FEVAR / BEVAR, including long term results of FEVAR; how to assess in the MDT environment; how to deploy a FEVAR & tips & tricks / complications
Management of the iliac aneurysm, including the evidence behind management of CIA aneurysms; review of a device on the bench & simulator for deployment IBD
Management of complex thoracic aortic disease, including review of the management of thoracic aortic dissections and aneurysms; the role of APTUS to enhance sealing in the both the abdominal and thoracic aorta
EVAS and complex ChEVAS, including registry data: what makes EVAS different; when to use it, how to use it, when not to use it, simulator and case studies
A reverse dragons den, where faculty will present the case for alternative device specific treatment options and delegates will vote on the ‘winner’
The course will be held at Tortworth Court Hotel, Wotton-under-Edge, South Gloucestershire, situated just off junction 14 of the M5, 30 minutes from Bristol Parkway Station, and 40 minutes from Bristol Airport.
Attendees will be mentored by senior members of BSET and key industry personnel.
The registration fee of £350 includes overnight accommodation at Tortworth Court Hotel with dinner.
