The British Society of Endovascular Therapy will encourage applications from centres in the United Kingdom to host British Society of Endovascular Therapy training Fellowships. Centres should have a strong track record of multidisciplinary team working between Interventional Radiologists and Vascular Surgeons. It is expected that there will be two co-applicants for each centre, one from Interventional Radiology and one from Vascular Surgery.
Centres should demonstrate that they are able to offer dedicated interventional sessions for the training fellows. Centres should also be able to demonstrate that they have access to an appropriate range of cases and preferably should offer complex endovascular intervention for both thoracic and abdominal aneurysmal disease. Centres that meet these criteria will be eligible to host the training Fellowships. It is anticipated that a portfolio of approved centres will be offered to the candidates following appointment to the Fellowship. It will be the responsibility of the trainee Fellows to choose the centre in which they undertake their Fellowship. Training centres will be selected on the basis of an application form, which will be assessed by the BSET Council. Centres accepted to host the training Fellowships will be offered to the successful candidates who will rank their preferences.
Centres wishing to be considered to host a training Fellowship will be selected from written applications.
Applications should be sent to marion@bset.co.uk. The subject line should read “BSET Fellowship training centre application”
Applications should take the form of a document in “Word” format. The application form should contain the following sections.
