Professor of Vascular Surgery at Imperial College, Consultant Vascular Surgeon at St Mary’s Hospital and Honorary Consultant Surgeon at The Royal Brompton and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. His clinical and research interests are in the application of new technologies to complex arterial disease to improve outcome. The research programme has won prizes in the UK, Europe and the USA.

He is Head of Clinical Quality at St Mary’s, Director of the North West Thames-St Mary’s Surgical Training Programme and a council member of the Society of Academic & Research Surgeons and the National Institute for Clinical Excellence. He has worked with the Royal College of Surgeons of England to develop a skills training package in vascular surgery and continues to run courses for both UK and overseas surgeons to learn the techniques of endovascular surgery.
